Commercially Pure Grade 2 is the most widely utilized titanium plate grade across global process industries. It provides an outstanding balance of moderate strength, exceptional ductility, and superior resistance to oxidizing media, seawater, and organic acids. Ideal for heat exchangers, reaction vessels, desalination plants, and chlor-alkali systems.
Grade 5 is an alpha-beta titanium alloy containing 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium. It delivers double the yield strength of Grade 2 pure titanium while maintaining light weight and impressive fatigue limits. Extensively specified in aerospace structural frames, jet turbine components, offshore oil tools, and high-performance racing parts.
Grade 7 is physical and mechanical twin to Grade 2, but augmented with 0.12% to 0.25% Palladium. This addition dramatically increases corrosion resistance in dilute hydrochloric and sulfuric acids under high temperatures and crevice conditions.
Grade 23 is an Extra Low Interstitial (ELI) version of Grade 5. Reduced interstitial elements (oxygen, nitrogen, iron) yield superior fracture toughness and ductility at cryogenic temperatures, making it the preferred alloy for medical implants and aerospace cryogenic tanks.
